NEW: adding new way to read and broadcast data from binary file. Until now rank 0 reads and broadcasts entire fields but we sometimes run out of memory for very large fields (e.g., SMB). Instead, rank 0 now creates tailored arrays for each partition and that's what's being send. It does not work yet, this is an intermediary commit for debugging, so this behavior is not yet activated. This will be a long summer project...
